It typically consists of a drying chamber, drying racks or trays, heat absorber and fan system or an air circulation
Although solar dryers are optimized for use in sunny and warm weather, they can still function in overcast or cloudy conditions, albeit with longer drying times. There are solar dryers that have been modified/incorporated with (hybrid) other heating systems like electricity and biomass systems to enable continuous drying operation during nighttime hours when sunlight is unavailable.
